7 Ways to Leverage Your Strengths


  1. Refer to your Clifton Strengths Report, look for the suggestions under the “Take action to maximize your potential” and “what out for blind spots” of each talent


  1. Share your Clifton Strengths Report with people who are close to you. Ask them to tell you specifically how they see you use your top five talents


  1. When preparing your to-do list for the week, consider your talents. For each task, think about how you can best use your talents to accomplish it.


  1. In your next meeting with your colleagues / customers, intentionally think and use your talents to make a productive meeting


  1. Take moments each day to consider how your understanding of your own strengths may help you appreciate the strengths of others. Then, choose one team member and send him or her a brief note to reinforce one of his or her strengths and how you have witnessed it in action


  1. As a manager, take time to discover the talents / strengths of your team members and discuss with you team members on how they can leverage their talents/ strengths in their job roles


  1. As a manager, engage your employees in a strengths-based discussion by shifting the focus from weakness fixing to strengths building.
