Interactive Seminars to Boost the Self-Confidence of Secondary School Students

Corporate Social Responsibility is an integral part of our corporate values. Mr. Matchy Ma, our consultant and a registered Industrial and Organizational Psychologist, was proud to deliver two interactive seminars to the secondary school students at Stewards Pooi Tun Secondary School.

Secondary education is of considerable importance for the development of young people during their adolescence. It is the life stage where they go through rapid physical, mental and emotional growth. They begin their quests for identity while exploring their hidden talents and potentials. Numerous empirical research show that young people with greater self-confidence would likely to excel in both academic and non-academic areas.

Based on the psychological theories, Matchy made used of psychological games and shared practical tips to help the students boost their self-confidence, such as paying attention to the micro-expressions and power posture, as well as focusing on their strengths rather than weaknesses. Students felt very excited about the new learning as they had the opportunity to practice the skills together during the seminar.
