Edward de Bono, a psychologist, once said,” There is no doubt that creativity is the most important human resource of all. Without creativity, there would be no progress, and we would be forever repeating the same patterns”. Nowadays, creativity is an important asset to employees and organizations as it helps to generate new business ideas, to differentiate products and services from competitors, and to produce an exciting and satisfying working environment.
Yet sometimes, people are reluctant to be creative out of their fear of making mistakes. What can be done to inspire and "awaken" the creativity in employees?
A creativity program designed and facilitated by Talent Academy has enhanced the ability of employees from an insurance company to think outside of the box. During the program, participants understood how creativity can assist their work and learned new ways of practicing creativity. They have also discovered how they can implement creative thinking into problem-solving at work by broadening perspectives.
